Description:

Call to Artists for the Chattanooga African American’s Museum’s exhibit, “The Candidate on the Canvas”. This show is not about supporting a particular candidate but is about the historical significance of an African American being chosen to run for president on a major party ticket. Artists are encouraged to submit works for inclusion in the exhibit which will run from November 4 to January 9, 2009. Pieces must be no larger than 24x36. To submit art, you must email a jpg of your work by October 20. Please limit to two submissions. All submissions must be sent to jmckissic@gmail.com. Please include the title, dimensions, medium and price of the work in the body of the e-mail. The subject line should read “The Candidate on the Canvas” Submission. Artists will be notified of their acceptance into the show, via email on October 22. If your piece(s) are accepted, they must be delivered to the Chattanooga African American Museum on October 24 by 4:00 PM.
