Description:

Join the fun at the Dragon Boat Festival, Saturday, April 19th along the Chattanooga Waterfront. The Chattanooga Dragon Boat Festival combines fun festivities with team building and competition! Corporate and community teams paddle 250 meters down the Tennessee River in 41' long Dragon Boats competing for first place, all in the name of charity! Paddlers raise money to benefit T.C. Children's Hospital Foundation.

Schedule of Events: 8:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremonies (includes traditional Lion dance and dotting of the eye ceremony)

9:00 a.m. - Round 1 of the races

1:00 p.m - Round 2 of the races

3:00 p.m. - Round 3: Championship races

All day activities will include the Moon Walk For the Kids. This is a kids area with temporary tattoos and balloon animals, fountains for children to play in during the races and performances by the East Tennessee Chinese American Organization.
