In celebration of Black History Month, the community is invited to bring their brown-bagged lunch to the Bessie Smith Cultural Center every Tuesday and Thursday throughout February to view Eyes on the Prize series. This award winning 14-hour television series produced by Blackside and narrated by Julian Bond highlights all of the major events of the civil rights movement from 1954-1985. The lunch and learns will take place from noon 1 pm at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center beginning Tuesday, February 2.
